Another picture that I'm leaving open for interpretation. I love making these types of drawings, because it's a lot of fun to read all of your personal meanings ^_^ Feel free to leave a comment!

Judging from the looks of those two behind the girl, I'd say they had a pretty ruff day LOL (sorry I just had to xDD)

Clearly, they're manly-man business wolves who are outwardly all about being busy and important and would never ever admit to being interested in girly drama like who she's gushing over now. So they stealthily watch her from behind so that nobody will know their horrible secret. Everybody has something they won't admit they're interested in, and in that regard the wolves represent the viewer.

I recently found your work and love these pieces that are open for interpretation.

Here are two interpretations that I saw when I observed this piece:

The two wolves are old friends/lovers of the girl and care for her, to the point of being possessive. However, she has left both of them, at separate times, and now has become enchanted by a new guy. Both of her old lovers suspect that this new person will not treat their loved one like they still want to, and may be even be a danger to her. They are struggling to understand why she cannot see this, and how she is blinded by her attraction to this man. The two who care for her can only feel betrayed.

The locket that they girl holds contains two images. The one that lies discarded and in the shadows is a picture of her two brothers, one older than the other, shoulder to shoulder, smiling out at her. However, she no longer looks at this image of her family that cares for her and instead looks into the other half of the locket, which is a mirror. In it, she is impressed and satisfied with how she appears. Her brothers, looming behind her, watch helplessly as she becomes self absorbed. Her younger brother, the one at the top right, is angry at her for becoming this way, losing her kindness and generosity. Her older brother is angry as well, but also feels sadness as he doesn’t believe he can help his little sister. The color of the brothers’ blue eyes, juxtaposed with their sister’s orange eyes, further express the boundaries she’s created between herself and her family and how she views herself above them.

This was a fun piece to write about. :happybounce:

This is a phenomenal piece of work.

In the first instance I interpreted this as somebody falling in love with a person even though she is in a relationship with somebody else. The lonesome figure on the photograph that she is fixated on would be the "lucky" guy who is about to steal her heart. However, I am giving up on this interpretation on account of her glowing red eyes and that ominous smile on her face.

So, what I think could be happening here, is that the lonesome figure on the photograph is a former lover that she has not forgotten. It might look as though she loves and hates him at the same time. Perhaps she is plotting to exert some sort of revenge on him, and the figures in the background could be her angel/devil personae, both in agreement that blood must be shed (at least in the spiritual sense!)

Or it may be that the person in the picture she is so fixated on is none other than herself - meaning that she loves herself more than anybody else in the world. In this case, the figures in the background could represent former lovers who have been hurt by her ways.

And the moral of the story is: there's a reason I am not a psychotherapist.

I like the idea of the wolves not being separate entities, but rather a part of her *_* Ohh yeah! That could also be her in the picture too.

I love how there are so many different possibilities for interpretation. If only I could write... I could do a synopsis for all of them. That would be fun! x3;

LOVE the artwork! ... if I had to guess made it can be taken as a difference in the relationship. Like how "Some" people value other people as things like prey or as objects where the other views it as a beautiful relationship, but is taken for granted.

Hope I can make art viewed like this soon it's awesome!

Mmm what I first thought was like the wolves are her conscience, she's blindly enchanted for the person in the photo on her hands, but someplace in her mind, an intuition is angry and trying to tell her to stay away from whoever it is!
But like just now that I noticed the wolves clothes, I took another interpretation: maybe they are the same two people on the picture she's looking.... People she trust and love but that, in reality, are like wolves ready to attack behind her back...

Lol I'm not good on interpretations but this is an amazing art piece! XD Thnks for sharing!

Okay, the way I see it, the piece is sorta like a reference to the song Same Girl by R. Kelly and Usher. Basically, the girl's been two-timing and the two dudes finally caught on. Instead of them being pissed at each other, they take out -or rather, want to take out - their anger on the girl instead. Now their anger, due to their betrayal, is emphasized by their transformation into werewolves... I mean, just look at them O.O And the fact that they wouldn't turn on each other shows a sense of brotherliness, which is also emphasized in the form of wolves - since, you know, wolves are all about family and stuff.

To me, its like the girl has been betrayed by whoever is in the locket and the wolves are like her demons ready for revenge.

I really like the style and the meaning that it gives off!
For me I think that the two werewolves are the girls parents, in the picture are her parents in their human forms and they feel betrayed because the girl seems more drawn towards their human forms rather than their true beastly side leaving them angry and feeling unaccepted by her .

I feel like out of the three of them, the girl is most dangerous. She doesn't seem terrified at all, despite the two looming wolves behind her, instead gazing at her reflection with a rather self-satisfied smirk. The two wolves, if taken metaphorically, seem to be two men – usually wearing neat suits and ties – bursting out of their regular confinements or facades because of their anger at her deception or "betrayal." Yet she is unaffected by it, because she couldn't care less how angry they are or how they feel. The one who holds the most power in a relationship, after all, is the one who cares less.

Then, a more literal perspective is that she's some sort of werewolf gene carrier, she bit them, and now they're doomed to live as werewolves as their past corporate lives have been ruined by their new monstrous body shape.

Seriously, this is awesome. It leaves so much open to interpretation.

Oh, yeah, brutal. In either situation, I suppose, whether doomed to werewolfhood for life or in the realm of a dispassionate relationship. I'm glad you found my theories interesting – but now I'm still left wondering what you were thinking of when you drew it. XD

It was done for a speed painting group that has daily topics. The topic for this was "scorned admirers" and this is the image that popped into my head. The werewolves were once more refined businessmen, until they are scorned by the girl and turn into raging madmen.  I didn't put too much thought into their relations, other than she loves the guy in the locket and the wolves are mad, haha ^_^

First off, gorgeous artwork, from lines to shading to composition to just the hint of color... definitely grabs the attention!
Hmm... my interpretation?
....My thought is a bit more abstract.  She seems to be gazing at photos of one she loves very much... but love is complicated, and can be tangled to the point of being indistinguishable from more negative emotions like jealousy and hatred.  Passion so strong it's primal.
